In 1964, Ikeda was a pioneer in the industry, traveling to Europe to inspect the bag market. Five years later, he was the first to establish a modern factory equipped with a design room and a sample room.
Founder Junichi Ikeda was awarded the Yellow Ribbon Medal in 1981 and the Order of the Rising Sun, Fifth Class in 1985 for his contributions to the development of Japan's handbag industry. The company's manufacturing, backed by solid technical and planning skills, has been passed down to the present day as the company continues aiming further leaps forward while producing high-quality products.
